SEMS Screw Operational Procedures
Preparation and Check
Check SEMS unit: Make sure that you are using the proper SEMS screw for the job. Check:
Screw Type: (i.e. M4, M6, #10-32)
Screw Length: Ensure it is suitable for the thickness of the material.
Screw Drive: (i.e. Phillips, Pozidriv, Hex, Torx).
Washer Type: Check that the washer is appropriate for the job (i.e., split lock washer for vibration protection, flat washer to distribute the load over a larger surface).
